Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, October 27, 2012, Mr. Clifford H. Billings “Cliff”, 60, husband of 36 years to Mrs. Carol Billings.

Mr. Billings served in the US Army and retired as Sergeant First Class after 21 years of service. He was a member of Advent Lutheran Church and served on the Property Board. Mr. Billings was employed by Teleco of Augusta as their lead technician. He was a member of the Band Boosters at Westside High School from 2003 to 2007. Mr. Billings enjoyed working on computers and he adored his grandchildren.

Family members in addition to his wife include son: Brian Billings (Lisa) of Grovetown; daughters: Amanda Christine Carter of Appling and Kimberly Billings of Augusta; grandchildren: Brent Logan Billings, Damen Lafe Carter, Ian Thomas Carter, Nathaniel Stephen McCarthy; sisters: Charlotte Price and Brenda Billings; brothers: David Billings, Alan Billings and Paul Billings; and his mother Marian Billings. Mr. Billings was preceded in death by his father Mr. Richard E. Billings.


A memorial service will be held Monday, October 29, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Advent Lutheran Church with Pastor Earl Schafer officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Advent Lutheran Church at 3232 Washington Road, Augusta, GA 30907 or to the American Heart Association at 190 Knox Abbott Drive, Casey, SC 29033.

The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
