Shelly Ledbetter Hopkins
Appling, GA – Entered into rest Friday, September 3, 2010, Mrs. Shelly Ledbetter Hopkins, 50, beloved wife of Doug Hopkins.
Shelly was an Augusta native, recently living in Columbia County. She was the owner and operator of a family business, Shapers Hair & Nail Salon for 20 years. Shelly was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She was loved by all who knew her, and her sparkling personality will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and customers.
Survivors include her husband Doug; daughter Heather Stewart of Augusta; stepdaughter Robyn McLamb of Raeford, NC; grandchildren James Lockamy and Matthew McLamb; mother Mrs. James H. Ledbetter; sisters, Mary Kelly (Randy) and Lora Wooten (Thomas); niece Heidi Snider; nephews, Chad Kelly, Taylor Wooten, and Jimmy Kelly. She was predeceased by her father Mr. James H. Ledbetter.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 5, 2010 at 2:30 P.M. at Crossroads Fellowship with Pastor Chuck Peters and Chaplain Alan Faulkner officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Chad Kelly, Jimmy Kelly, Joey Bessman, James Bessman, Dan Harrell, Gene Hall, and Johnny Hopkins. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Staff of Shapers Hair & Nail Salon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2607 Commons Blvd., Augusta, GA 30909.
