Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at University Hospital, Mrs. Sherree E. Cooper, 58, wife of Chief Paul D. Cooper of the Martinez-Columbia Fire Rescue.

Mrs. Cooper was born in Elmendorf AFB in Alaska but lived in Augusta for the last 49 years. She was a graduate of Glenn Hills High School. Mrs. Cooper worked at Warren Baptist Daycare for a number of years and at Wal-Mart. She was a loving wife, mother, friend, and loved her Jack Russell Jeg.

Family members in addition to her husband include son: Paul Cooper II, sisters: Sandra Frazier, Suzanne True, Kay Baublitz, Barbara Kuhn and husband Heinz, sisters-in-law: Betty Jean Perdue and husband James, Marjorie Mays and husband Billy, and brother-in-law: Cole Cooper and wife Marilyn.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Pat Williams officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation, 3614 J. Dewey Gray Circle, Building C, Augusta, GA 30909.
