Martinez, GA –Entered into rest on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at University Hospital, Ms. Shirley Ann Satcher, 78, daughter of the late Oscar and Gladys Owens Satcher.
Ms. Satcher retired after 40 years of service with the State of Georgia Probation Department as head bookkeeper. She was a devoted child of God and was a faithful church member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church. Ms. Satcher was a loving sister, aunt, and friend and is also a welcomed addition to God’s Kingdom.
Family members include her sisters: Evelyn Satcher Dyches (William), and M. Joan Satcher; nieces and nephews: Kaye D. Furtaw, Linda D. Clark, William Dale Dyches (Beth), Deborah D. Klassen, Shanon D. Summerour, and Brian M. Dyches.
A graveside service will be held Friday, October 19, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Jim McCollough officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
Floral contributions are welcomed as well as memorials to Woodlawn United Methodist Church, 2220 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30904.
