Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, September 21, 2017, Shirley Anne Schwanenberger, 81, loving wife of 60 years to Ron Schwanenberger.

Mrs. Schwanenberger was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio and graduated in 1954 from Mount DeChantal in Wheeling, West Virginia. She was co-owner of World Import Shop. Shirley greatly loved all of her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Family members, in addition to her husband, include her daughters: Robin Adams of Charlotte, NC and Sue Garland of Augusta; grandchildren: Andy Bauer, B.J. Bauer, Nicole Long, M.D., Craig Bauer, Lara Bauer, Alex Adams, Jacob Adams, William Adams, Abigail Garland, Olivia Garland and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Brian D. Schwanenberger.

A Mass of Resurrection will be said Monday, September 25, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Saint Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Hull celebrant. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Augusta Warrior Project, 701 Greene Street, Suite 104, Augusta, GA 30901.
