Sibyl Carn Kellam
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Friday, July 24, 2015, Mrs. Sibyl Carn Kellam, 79, loving wife to the late Monte Kellam, Sr.
Mrs. Kellam was born in Orangeburg, SC but has lived in Augusta for the past 70 years. She earned her Master’s Degree from Augusta College and Specialist in Education from Georgia Southern University. She retired after 30 years as a teacher in Richmond County. Mrs. Kellam was instrumental in establishing the gifted program for the Richmond County Board of Education.
Family members include her sons: Tony Key and wife Nicole, Jesse Key and wife Alpha; grandchildren: Jessica Key, Ansley Key, Jesse Key, II, Juliana Norris, Wade Key, and Kaylee Jane Key; 7 great grandchildren; brothers: George Lewis Carn and wife Deedee, Calloway Carn and wife Joan; sister: Peggy Clardy and husband Bobby; stepson: Monte Kellam, Jr.; and stepdaughter: Katie Douglas. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Frank Edward Key, Jr.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
