Evans, GA – Entered into rest on Monday, May 9, 2022, Mr. Simón Disla Manzueta, 78, husband of Mrs. Virgen “La Negra” Rodriguez-Disla.
A native of the Dominican Republic, Simón was a construction foreman for many years in New York before settling near his children in Evans, Georgia. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Simón was the respected patriarch of his family, a selfless provider who loved through his dedication to taking care of his family. Those who knew Simón, know that he would give all he could to help someone in need. Simón’s legacy of being a hard-working, giving, caring, and loving person are characteristics that he embedded within his family. Simón will be missed dearly by all he knew, all who knew him, and his family because of his ability to love and care for people who surrounded him.
Family members in addition to his wife include his children: Junior (Haydee), Marilyn, Janet (Bruce, Jr.), Dennis (Lisa), Simon (Cassie); grandchildren: Jasmalyn, Jeremy, Jaeda, Jaylene, Kiara, Bruce, III, Jalyssa, Julian, Bryan, Victoria, Marcus, Krystel “P”, Sofia and Nicholas; great grandchildren: Bryson, Juniper and Josiah.

A funeral service will also be held in Villa Mella, Dominican Republic to celebrate Simón’s life. Interment Cementerio D.M. Las Coles.
