Harlem, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, November 9, 2024, Skylar Evelyn Bernstein-Wombough, 22, loving wife of Samuel A. Wombough. 

Skylar was a lifelong resident of Grovetown/Harlem, GA and was the daughter of Steven and Jennifer Bernstein. Skylar loved playing soccer, listening to music, and painting. Skylar graduated this past August from Georgia Tech, majoring in Civil Engineering, with highest honors. Skylar wanted to spend her life learning, teaching, and making the world better. Skylar was adamant that she donate her body to further the study of her disease, a cancer that most often afflicts young children.

Family members, in addition to her husband and parents, include her brothers: Ashton Bernstein and Tyler Bernstein (Chelsea); nieces: Madison and Oakley Bernstein; nephew: Jaxon Bernstein; maternal grandmother: Debra Nelson; paternal grandmother: Alice Bernstein; mother and father-in-law: Traci and Greg Wombough; brother-in-law: Benjamin Wombough; four-legged companion: Winston Pooh Bear Wombough; and many extended family members. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Samuel Bernstein, Jr. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 16th at 2PM at Wesley United Methodist Church with Rev. Greg Porterfield officiating. Visitation with the family will precede the service and begin at 1PM.
