Mrs. Slayton, a native of Bremerhaven, Germany, was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandma, and great grandma, “Oma”.
Family members include son, Frank W. Slayton of Honolulu, HI, daughters: Monica Robertson (Charles) of Evans, GA, Gloria R. Willeby (Gary) of Mechanisville, VA, Mary Ann Stacy of Augusta, GA, grandchildren: Charles C. Robertson III (Amy), Stephanie C. Fraser (Travis), Kathleen A. Stacy, Genea A. Willeby, great grandchildren: Ashley, Emma, Bentley, and Kelsey.
Brother: Horst Martens and sisters: Herma Backhus, Rosie Sullivan, Edda Kemp.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 15, 2012 at 4:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Dave Dillard officiating. Burial will take place in Arlington National Cemetery.
The family would like to express deep gratitude to the Lake Crossing Health Center for their excellent care.
