Martinez, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, February 15, 2025, Kevin Michael Leverett, 55.
Kevin was a native of Augusta, Georgia. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army and retired after 25 years of serving his country; including stints in Afghanistan and Bosnia. Kevin also worked for U.S. Customs and The Department of Homeland Security at Atlanta’s Hartfield Jackson International Airport. Being himself, a disabled veteran he was always supportive of other veterans, as a long time member of American Legion Post 192. He also was an avid Georgia Bulldog and Miami Dolphins football fan. Kevin was a loving and devoted fiancé, son, father, grandfather and brother. Most of all he was a true patriot to his country.
Family members include his fiancé: Rebecca Nichols; mother: Gloria LoPinto; children: John, Tia, Kimberly and Ainslee; granddaughter: Emmberly; stepbrother: Gary Williams, stepsister: Angie Huffstetler (David) and feline companion: Callie and other loving family members. Kevin was preceded in death by his father Michael V. Leverett and stepsister Susanne Ridgeway.
A memorial Mass will be held Friday, February 21, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Church of the Most Holy Trinity with Fr. Jacob Almeter celebrant.
