Mrs. Stephens was a native of Augusta but lived in Simpsonville, SC. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Los Alamos, NM and a former member of Warren Baptist Church of Augusta. She loved her family and was a loving wife and mother. Mrs. Stephens was a homemaker most of her life and a devout Christian.
Family members in addition to her husband include daughter: Amanda L. Sheldon and her husband Joshua of Simpsonville, SC; son: Kyle R. Stephens of Portales, NM; grandson: Ethan Daniel Sheldon of Simpsonville, SC; parents: Henry E. Rabun, Sr. and Edith N. Rabun of Augusta, GA; mother-in-law: Geneva A. Stephens of Augusta; her sisters: Lynda R. Grigg (Richard), and Jan R. Duncan (Wendell); brother: Henry E. Rabun, Jr. (Julie) and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents: W. Robert Rabun, Sr. and Era Turner Rabun; her maternal grandmother: Louise Grubbs; and her father-in-law: J.W. Stephens.
A funeral service will be Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. Frank Page officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 277 MLK Blvd. Suite 101, Macon, GA 31201.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at
