Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, May 30, 2009, Stephen Michael Fishel, 15, son of Richard and Melanie Fishel of Augusta.

Stephen was a native and life long resident of Augusta. He was a member of Curtis Baptist Church. He enjoyed drawing, had a phenomenal imagination and a zest for life He loved his family and never met a stranger, whether he knew them or not. He was the perfect example of what a Christian should be. His goal in life was to draw people to the Lord. The family said that they were blessed and honored to have Stephen as long as they did.

Family members in addition to his parents include his brother: Austin Fishel; maternal grandparents: Mike and Sandy Rollins; paternal grandparents: Richard and Barbara Fishel; aunts: Sissy and Barb; uncles: Richie Reed, John and Michael Rollins, Matthew Johann and Ric Sammons.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Curtis Baptist Church with Rev. Sherrell Dunn officiating. Pallbearers will be John Rollins, Michael Rollins, Richie Reed, Matt Johann and Joey Guay. Honorary pallbearers will be the Sunday School class. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
