Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Thursday, November 2, 2023, Steven Bryant Jones, 45.

Steven was a lifelong native of Augusta. He was a member of the class of 1996 from Butler High School. Steven graduated from Augusta State with a Master's degree in education. He worked as an English teacher for Jefferson County High School, Greenbrier High School and most recently Aiken County High School. During his teaching career, Steven, was the recipient of the Golden Apple Award and Teacher of the Year. He was a former tennis player and coach. Steven was passionate about traveling, he enjoyed New York and Greenville but his favorite place was the beach. His hobbies and interests included Star Wars, Star Trek and Lord of the Rings, as well as, comic books and gaming.

Family members include his parents: Carlton H. and Iris Martinez Jones; sister: Jennifer M. Jones; nephew: Brennan Bloodsworth and aunt: Carmen Smith and uncle: Dr. Roger Smith. He was preceded in death by his fiancé Heidi Bendsted.
