Augusta, GA – Mr. Steven W. Shore, 55, entered into rest Monday, October 19, 2015.
Steve was a lifelong resident of Augusta. He was a 1978 graduate of the Academy of Richmond County and attended Augusta College. He retired after 23 years of service from the Savannah River Site as a cost and planning engineer. Steve was a beloved father of 3 girls, an adoring “Papa” of 2 grandchildren and leaves behind 2 fur babies, Mollie and Jackson.
He is survived by his daughters: Shannon M. Shore, Stacy Shore Baldwin and husband John, and Samantha W. Shore; grandchildren: Jonah and Annabelle Baldwin; mother: Mary “Irene” Shore; sister: Kerry Shore Jones and husband Steven; and grandmother: Morene “Nanny” Sheriff.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. Michael Davenport officiating. Burial will follow in Toms Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ken Todd, Thomas Schilling, Tony Owenby, Roger Looney, Jamie Smith, Brett Sheriff, and Michael Burch.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pineview Baptist Church, 119 Pleasant Home Rd., Augusta, GA 30907 or to the Columbia County Humane Society, P.O. Box 204771, Martinez, GA 30917.
