Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, September 12, 2010, Mrs. Susan Elizabeth McCoy Coats, 56, beloved wife of Ernest D. Coats, Jr.
Mrs. Coats was a native of Washington, D.C. but grew up in Silver Springs, Maryland. She moved to Augusta in 1997 where she was employed by SouthTrust and Wachovia Banks as a bank teller. She was member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Grovetown. In 2007 she married Ernie and moved to Marietta where she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Family members in addition to her husband include son: Stephen Hardy (Shari) of Raleigh, NC; granddaughter: Kristen Hardy; and sister: Marie Baine (Jerry);
mother and father in law: Ernest and Sara Coats.
A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Roverse celebrant. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 15, 2010 beginning at 10:00 A.M. until time of the service at the church.
