Susan R. Hoyt

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Monday, December 6, 2021, Mrs. Susan R. Hoyt, 71, loving wife 51 years to Bryan M. Hoyt.

Susan was born in New Jersey and later moved to Florida with her family. She graduated from Northeast High School in Oakland Park, FL, where she met Bryan. They were married in St. Clements Catholic Church in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. They moved to Augusta and were members at Saint Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, where she taught Sunday School. Sue and Bryan have been members of Alleluia Community for 39 years. She will be greatly missed by her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved very much.

Family members in addition to her husband include her sons: Corey Hoyt (Tammy), Chad Hoyt (Susie), Clint Hoyt (Jessica) and Michael Hoyt; 8 grandchildren; and her sister: Lorraine Thomas (Wallace).

The memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, December 10, 2021, at Saint Teresa of Avila Catholic Church with Fr. Theodore Agba as the celebrant. Interment will follow in Alleluia Cemetery, 4763 Luckey’s Bridge Road, Dearing, GA 30808.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association at 225 Peachtree Street NE Suite 550-South Tower, Atlanta, GA 30303.
