Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, February 13, 2010 at University Hospital, Mrs. Teresa Diane Sanderson, 52, wife of David D. Sanderson of Augusta.
Other family members include her son: Matthew David Sanderson of Augusta, step-daughter: Stephanie S. Johnson of Sardis, GA., grandson: Jonathon Johnson; sister: Linda G. Holt (Bernie) of Martinez, nephew: Heyward Holt; niece: Heather Smith (Josh); great nephew: Davis Smith; parents: Bobby & Mabel Whaley of Augusta.
Mrs. Sanderson was a native and life long resident of Augusta. She graduated in 1974 from Westside High School, attended Augusta College & graduated from University Hospital - Brown School of Radiology. She worked at University Hospital for fifteen years and a number of years and as Lead Mammographer at University Hospital Breast Health Center. She was instrumental in the development of the services provided by the Mobile Mammography Unit for University Hospital.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the Warren Baptist Church Chapel with Rev. Bret Legg & Dr. Randy Cooper officiating. Interment to follow in Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Matt and Scott Sanderson, Ryan Dominquez, Heyward Holt, Rustian Metzler, Jeffrey Bell, Phillip Vrana and Walker Madden. Honorary Pallbearers will be the University Hospital Breast Health Center co-workers.
