Martinez, GA –Mr. Terry D. Cushman, 74, husband of Mrs. Helen Lowe Cushman went to be with the Lord on December 8, 2012.
Mr. Cushman was married to Helen Lowe Cushman for 50 years. He retired from the City of Augusta as a Supervisor for the Sanitation Department then worked for Augusta Disposal as a Supervisor.
Family members in addition to his wife include daughters: Tina Canuette (Ronnie) of Harlem and Amanda Cushman of Martinez; grandchildren: Cody Canuette, Farrah Canuette, Cassidy Canuette and Bobbie Canuette; brothers: Jack Cushman (Joanne), Ronnie Cushman (Annette), Jimmy Cushman (Ann) and Carl Cushman (Elaine); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father: Jesse Cushman; mother: Leila Craig Cushman; brother: Bobby Cushman; and sister: Sarah Stephens.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors with Larry Hubbard and Rev. Tony Christie officiating. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Canuette, Edward Cushman, Alan Cushman, Scott Cushman, Brandon Cushman and Adam Cushman.
The family wishes to give a special thank you to Trinity Hospice and the staff of Augusta Oncology and especially to Dennis who has a special place in our hearts.
