AUGUSTA, Ga. – Entered into rest Monday, September 7, 2009, Mrs. Thelma Hitt Keith, 81, wife of the late Dr. Louis C. Keith, Sr.

Mrs. Keith was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta and was a homemaker.

Family members include her daughters: Irma Lou Ritchart and husband Harry of Ruthven, Iowa, Joyce Collins and husband Edward of Metter, GA, Brenda Hadden and husband John of Augusta, Kim King and husband Doug of Hephzibah; son: Louis C. Keith, Jr. and wife Leigh of Pooler, GA; sister: Shirley Hitt Foster and husband Carl of Hephzibah; 7 grandsons, 19 great-grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Mrs. Keith was preceded in death by her parents: Lloyd F. Hitt, Sr. and Eva Ruth Watson Hitt; brother: Lloyd F. Hitt, Jr.; sister: Evelyn Hitt Beall and granddaughter: Robin Roulain Cail.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Chaplain Frankie May officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephew. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
