Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, September 15, 2013, at his residence, Theodore Joseph “Ted” Kostka, 82, husband of Irmgard K. Kostka.
Mr. Kostka served in the United States Army for 23 years and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion #192 and a Life Member of the VFW Post 3200. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather He enjoyed fishing, gardening and cooking.
In addition to his wife, family members include daughters: Carol Warren and husband Gary, Rosemary Arthur and husband Robert; grandchildren: Melissa Warren, Chris Warren and wife Crystal, Robert Adam Arthur and fiancé Bertha Hadikusuma; great-grandchild: Addison McKenzie Warren; brother: Walter Kostka; and special feline companion: Tommy. He is preceded in death by his sister: Helen Mentink; and brothers: Henry Kostka, Stanley Kostka.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Fr. Mike Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2607 Commons Boulevard, Augusta, GA 30909.
