Evans, GA – Entered into rest Monday, January 26, 2015, Mr. Thomas L. Wonder.

Mr. Wonder was the son of the late Lee R. Wonder and Dorothy E. Wonder and lived in Pennsylvania during his youth. Mr. Wonder enlisted in the Army Air Corps during World War II and returned to Pennsylvania following the war to resume his education at Pittsburg Academy and Penn State University .Mr. Wonder resided in Martinez since 1982 after twenty two years in the steel industry. He continued his career in the food products and the health care industries and retired from the Kendall Company as Plant Engineer and Maintenance Manager in 1990. Raellen M. Wonder, his first wife of many years preceded him in death in 1992. Patricia L. Wonder, his second wife, also preceded him in death in 2006.

Mr. Wonder is survived by his son: Thomas L. Wonder, Jr., (Rosemary L.) of Stone Mountain, and grandson: Andrew, (Jackie). He is also survived by the three children of Patricia L Wonder: Timothy N. Trunick, (Renee), granddaughters: Jamie and Sierra: Kristine E. Steele, (Donald): Amy C. Kistler, (Kenneth), granddaughters: Erin and Shanna; six great grandchildren; brother: Richard M. Wonder; a niece and two nephews all in Pennsylvania.

Mr. Wonder was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 205, the Commerative Air Force, The Garden City Barbershop Chorus and was a former member of the Kiwanis and Lion’s Clubs, the American Society for Metals and the American Institute of Plant Engineers.

A memorial service will be Thursday, January 29, 2015, at 2:30 P.M. in the chapel at Thomas Poteet & Son with Chaplain Jason Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be Will Rogers, Roger and Lynne Johnson, Robert and Judy Sanders, Sallie Starnes, Jessica Bruce, Valerie Dye, Wanda Hall, Dawn Panowich, Jo and Eric Kriikku and Jane and Dave Engstrom.

In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial contributions may be made to The Children’s Miracle Network, P.O. Box 1439, Augusta, GA. or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN, 38101.
