Thomas Petersen

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, May 3, 2014 after an extended battle with cancer, Mr. Thomas Eugene Petersen, 72, loving husband of Betty Petersen.
Mr. Petersen was a native of Durand and lived the majority of his life in Corunna, but has lived in Greensboro, Georgia since 2013.
Mr. Petersen was a United States Navy Veteran and worked as a lifelong banker in the Owosso-Corunna area. He retired as a broker with A.G. Edwards in 2007. Mr. Petersen had significant involvement with the Shiawassee Regional Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club of Corunna, Corunna Public Schools Educational Foundation, Corunna Downtown Development Authority and was a member of Corunna United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two daughters: Natalie Scott and husband Jacobe of New Palestine, IN, Ann Kenny and husband Christopher of Augusta, GA; 4 grandsons; brother: Jack Petersen and wife Connie of Shepherd, MI; sister: Sonja Newman and husband Gary of Webberville, MI; sister-in-law: Mary Ann Petersen of Mancelona, MI; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Jon and Shirley Hayes of Durand, MI.
