Thomas L. Swint, Sr.

Entered into rest on Saturday, January 7, 2023, Mr. Thomas L. Swint, Sr., 78, loving husband of 57 years to Sarah Wylds Swint.

Tommy was born in Augusta, GA to the late Robert L. Swint, Sr. and Caroline M. McNeely. He was a very proud veteran. He installed dry wall and wall covering by trade.

He loved fishing, spending time with all of his family and talking about the past and the good old times they had together. He was at every family event, celebration, and heartbreak. He also loved sitting around telling jokes to his kids, grandkids, family, and anyone that would listen! He loved eating and he made the best catfish stew ever!

He was the best husband, daddy, and papa. He was the rock of our family. If you saw Tommy out you also saw Sarah. They were one person, one unit, one part, not two. They were a true example of two becoming one.

Our daddy couldn’t hear very good but he was a very good listener. He always found the words to make you feel proud of what you had accomplished, even when you were doubting yourself. He was a man amongst men who always welcomed anyone. Daddy was the man that we all needed and we will always cherish every single memory he made for us.

Our lives will never be the same but we thank our God for the time he let us have with truly the best.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. CT Townsend officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
