HARLEM, Ga. – It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Ms. Tiffany Renee Usry, beloved mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and partner, who left us far too soon on June 14, 2024 at the age of 41. Tiffany’s love and care for others was evident to all who knew her. Her kindness brought comfort to others at just the right moment, and her contagious laughter, sass, and vibrant spirit could brighten even the darkest of days.
Tiffany dedicated her life to public service and was an anchor at the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office for over 20 years. Her colleagues knew her as a leader who always kept her cool in a crisis—the one you wanted on the line in an emergency. She was a member of the Crisis Negotiation Team and was integral in helping the county set up its Real Time Crime Center as a crime analyst, using innovative technology to keep our community safe.
Tiffany was preceded in death by her father, Michael Frost and grandmother, Brigitte Yahn. She is survived by her children, Katelynn and Dylan Usry; sister, Jacqueline Holsonbake (Chris); mother, Helen Frost; granddaughter, Gracelynn Watson; grandfather, Jerry Yahn; niece and nephew, Ansley and Brantley Holsonbake; and grandniece Bristol Grady, along with a family of loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In honoring Tiffany’s memory, we choose to celebrate her life and commit to carrying forward the light she shared with all of us—along with a little mischief and fun. May she rest in peace. "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:17-18.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 12:00 P.M. at Wesley United Methodist Church with Chaplain Dennis Hoyt officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Please wear bright colors as we remember Tiffany’s vibrant personality. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to Valor Station at https://www.valorstation.com or the Columbia County Humane Society at https://cchswi.org/
