Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, June 20, 2017, Timothy “Tim” James O’Rourke, 61 , loving husband of Julie Whitener O’Rourke, his son, Riley James O’Rourke and his brother, Shawn O’Rourke (Patti).
Mr. O’Rourke was born in Miles City, Montana but lived in Augusta many years. He earned his Magna Cum Laude undergraduate and MBA from University of South Carolina and graduated Cum Laude with Juris Doctorate from USC School of Law. He was a member of SC Law Review, Moot Court Bar, Order of the Coif and Order of Wig and Robe. He was employed as a comptroller with Bankers First and worked with Electrolux as a Labor Attorney for the last 17 years. Mr. O’Rourke enjoyed being with his family, friends, and supporting the USC Gamecocks, but most of all watching his son play sports.
A memorial service will be Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. The family will receive friends Sunday one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00 P.M.
