Martinez, GA – Timothy Kenneth Taylor, 61, of Martinez, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. He was born December 20, 1962, in Berlin, Germany to parents William Kenneth Taylor and Marion (Dittrich) Moore. Timmy was a lifelong resident of the Augusta Area.
Timmy graduated from The Academy of Richmond County in 1981. He worked for Pepsi as a driver for a number of years before he became an industrial electrician. He worked in this field for more than 30 years where he excelled. Timmy gained many cherished friendships during this time.
More than anything else, Timmy was an avid hunter. He spent countless days perched in his tree stand waiting for the big buck and boy did they come. He was known by his dad, numerous uncles and friends as the “Deerslayer” bringing home more than one deer in a day on more than one occasion. He enjoyed the cold air, the crunch of the leaves and then finally the stillness and quiet of the early morning. He especially enjoyed hunting with his son, his daddy and uncles and many lifelong friends. Those were memories he cherished.
Timmy also loved his Georgia Bulldogs. You would very rarely see him without his Dawgs hat on. He was fortunate enough to attend some games and last year’s SEC Championship. Once a Dawg, Always a Dawg – Win or Lose.
Timmy was predeceased in death by his father: William Taylor; mother: Marion Moore; stepfather: Benjamin Moore; great aunt: Hilde Durden and several favorite uncles and aunt.
Left to cherish his memory are his son: Shaun Taylor (Stephanie) of Athens, GA; grandsons: Wrigley Taylor of Athens, GA, Braxton Taylor of Hephzibah, GA; sister: Sabrina White (Randy) of Augusta, GA; nephew: Ron White of Lincolnton, GA; countless friends and his beloved dog “Lucy”.
