Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, July 12, 2012, Mr. Thomas Edward Rhoden, 75, husband of Mrs. Mary D. Rhoden.
Mr. Rhoden was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. He served in the National Guard for a decade. He retired from Bellsouth after 38 years of service. He served as Deacon at Warren and Modoc Baptist Churches. Mr. Rhoden was a member of the Carolina Mountain, Palmetto and American Associations of Woodturners. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, and the outdoors.
Family members in addition to his wife include children: Beth Burgess (Dan) of Lynchburg, VA, Tami Boltz (Dan) of Allen, TX, Susan Beckham (Bill) of Dublin, GA; grandchildren: Jason Parrish (Amber), David Parrish, Ryan Parrish, Mariah Boltz, Rolland Boltz, Eliza Beckham, Danielle Burgess; 8 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank all of Tommy and Mary’s wonderful friends whom they have cherished throughout the years for their love and prayers. Dad was a good and faithful servant to our Lord Jesus.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 16, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Modoc Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Patton officiating. Burial will follow in the Modoc Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Modoc Baptist Church, 11405 SC Highway 28, Modoc, SC 29838 or to the charity of one’s choice.
