Travis E. "Hero" Weathers

Lincolnton, GA - Mr. Travis “Hero” Weathers, 84 of Lincolnton, Georgia, husband of Faye Weathers entered into rest on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 with his devoted wife by his side.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, July 22, 2022 in the chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son Funeral Directors with Rev. Charles Davis and Rev. Ray Farrow officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 A.M. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be his grandsons and great-grandsons.

Mr. Weathers was born in South Georgia to the late Albin and Jewel Weathers. He relocated to Augusta where he founded Weathers Tire Service in 1974.

Travis is survived by his wife of 60 years; his son: Michael T. Weathers, Sr.; three sisters: Jeweldine Stokes, Glenda Thompson (James), and Sharon White (William); one brother: Danny Weathers. He was also survived by “Papa’s favorite people”, his grandchildren: Michael T. Weathers, Jr. (Morgan), Bethany Stratton (Rhett), Meagan Collier (Jordan), Brittany McDaniel (Ross), Zachary Weathers (Georgia), and twelve great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly, along with several nieces and nephews.

The family gives a special thanks to Bristol Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 106 SRP Drive Suite A, Evans, GA 30809.
