Evans, GA –Mrs. Patricia “Trisha” Weathers Brigham, loving wife of William Breckenridge “Breck” Brigham, entered into rest on Sunday, October 24, 2021.
Trisha was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Weathers. She was born and reared in Augusta. She was a proud graduate of Richmond Academy and Salem University in Winston Salem, NC. After graduation, Trisha worked for the YWCA in Roanoke, Virginia, where she helped establish a children’s camp. Upon returning to Augusta, she worked as a social worker. Trisha was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and friend. She had a deep faith, serving her beloved Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church in many capacities, including deacon and elder; she also participated in numerous community-wide faith initiatives, including Bible Study Fellowship, local prayer groups and conferences, and the Thornwell Home for Children. Trisha was also active in the Augusta community, participating in organizations including the Junior League, the Augusta Symphony Guild, and the Heritage Club. In her later years, Trisha loved to garden, paint, and dote on her beloved grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Trisha is survived by her sons: William Breckenridge “Breck” Brigham, Jr. (Carrie), Evan Philips “Phil” Brigham (Alison), Leroy “Lee” Weathers Brigham (Jennifer); grandchildren, Margaret Palmer Brigham, William Breckenridge “Breck” Brigham III, William “Will” Philips Brigham, Wynne Elizabeth Brigham, Clarice “Clare” Amanda Brigham, Elizabeth Tucker Brigham; and sister, Celeste W. Patterson. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Janice W. Hollis.
The funeral service will be held Friday, October 29, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. at Reid Memorial with Rev. Boyd Lien officiating. The family will receive friends at the church immediately prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00. Interment will be private.
