Blythe, GA – Entered into rest on January 20, 2022, Mrs. Ulrike “Oma” Kilgore, 79, loving wife of Floyd Kilgore.
Moved to Kirchburg where she was raised by her mom & her Oma. Kirchburg means "Little Town between the Mountains". Mom & Dad met in 1959 in a small Cafe called Heddies on a blind date. On June 11th they were married & had 2 children, Mike & Sylvia. After 4 years in the Air Force, they moved back to the States & put roots in North Carolina where she was a homemaker.
From there they moved around where they met new friends & enjoyed bowling, dancing & pinochle. One of mom’s favorite places was the Beach. When they moved to Augusta mom worked for Collier Management Company as apartment manager for 22 years. They moved to Blythe in 1996 to live out the rest of their lives.
They started attending Blythe Baptist Church in 2006 where they were led to go. Mom accepted the Lord as her Savior in 2006. She loved the prayer & Bible Study group called the Circle of Friends as well as Sunday School taught by Mrs. Jerry Holt.
Mom was always committed to whatever she did, as a wife, mother, employer, friend & child of God. She done Everything in Love, Never forgetting anyone's birthday, Holidays, or special occasions and always there with an attentive ear for all who called on her. Her tender Sweetheart will be missed & remembered from all who knew her.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Blythe Baptist Church with Pastor Josh Caines officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 P.M., at church.
