Valerie “Val” C. Moore

Evans, GA – Entered into rest on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, Mrs. Valerie C. Moore, 72, loving wife of 50 years to Mr. Richard “Rick” Thomas Moore.

Val was born in Mequon, Wisconsin and lived for many years in the Augusta area. She retired from Sherwin Williams after many years of service. Val was a great cook, loved to decorate, enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan. Val was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her husband Rick, family members include her children: Meredith Newman (Danny) and Erica Neet (Matt); grandchild: Jon Newman; sister-in-law: Lucy Wray (Paul); brother-in-law: Jon Lenichek; nieces: Marcia Little (Matt) and Kristin Hildebrandt (Graham); nephew: Jeffrey Wray; and other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Lucia Angell and siblings: Pamela Angell and Vicki Lenichek.

A memorial graveside service will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 4:30 P.M. at Westover Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
