Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, February 12, 2011, Mrs. Vicki Hammond Farr, 58, wife of Mr. Patrick K. Farr.
Mrs. Farr was a lifelong resident of the Augusta area. She was a member of St. Teresa’s of Avila Catholic Church. Mrs. Farr was a 1971 graduate from Aquinas High School. She worked as Assistant Director of Materials Management at Doctor’s Hospital for 18 years and worked at Americas Choice Mortgage for 4 years. Mrs. Farr was married 40 years, December, 2011. Her most prized accomplishment was becoming Nana.
Family members include in addition to her husband; son, Kelly Farr (Jennifer) of Cumming, GA, daughter, Lisa Halliday (Chris) of Evans, grandchildren, Camryn Halliday, Patrick Halliday, Trey Farr and Sydney Farr.
A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church with Fr. Gaspar Hegedus celebrant. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jim McKeon, John Gibson, Michael Farr, Chris Halliday, Tony Kearns, Mike Leonard, Sinton Cobb, and Pat Nordmann. Honorary pallbearers will be the “Girls Night Out Group”
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association in Georgia, 2452 Spring Rd, Smyrna, GA, 30080 or to St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, Building Fund, 4921 Columbia Rd., Grovetown, GA 30813.
A Rosary service will be held Monday evening at Thomas Poteet and Son at 6:00 P.M. and the family will receive friends from 6:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
