Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, December 1, 2015, Mrs. Shirley Virginia Jones, 88, loving wife to the late Curtis Jones.
Virginia owned and operated Virginia’s Beauty Salon since 1963. After retiring, she was employed by Beverly Manor where she ran the beauty shop for 13 years. She was a member of Crestview Baptist Church.
Family members include her daughters: Connie Jones Dampier (Luther) and Lisa Jones Taylor (Dale); granddaughter: Michell Thompson (Danny); great granddaughter: Jessica Ryan Hensley (Taylor); great-great granddaughters: Kalina Enriquez, Harper Rivers Hensley; brothers: William “Billy” Kitchens, Everrett Kitchens, and Danny Kitchens; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her brother, William Benjamin Kitchens, and special friend, Hugh McRae.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Paul Cook officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 106 SRP Dr., Suite A, Evans, GA 30809.
