Evans, GA –Virginia Aguirre Mata, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at the age of 86.
She was a native of San Jose de La Paz, Jalisco, Mexico, born on August 3, 1935. Virginia was a warrior for overcoming many obstacles and triumphs in her life. She was a woman of prayer, faithful to the rosary and the Virgin Mary.
A favorite prayer of hers that she will be remembered by is “Virgencita de Guadalupe guardame en tu regazo”
Family members include her children: Felipe Mata (Teresa), Arturo Mata (Maria), Pantaleon Mata, Hermelinda Naranjo (Carlos), Dolores Maciel (Agapito), Leticia Gonzales (Hector); sisters: Ramona Aguirre Coronado, Rebeca Campos Coronado; 25 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband: Jose Mata; daughter: Evangelina Arellano; grandchildren: Joel Mata & Yolanda Arellano; parents: Tranquilino Aguirre & Juana Coronado.
The funeral service will be held Monday, January 3, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church with Fr. Carlos Rivero officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hispanic Ministry at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
