Mrs. Murphy was a homemaker and a member of Liberty United Methodist Church.

Family members include sons and daughters-in-law: Zane E. Murphy, Jr. and wife Sue of Fork Union, VA, Michael H. Murphy and wife Jean of Hephzibah, GA, Max W. Murphy of Hephzibah, GA, and Andre Cote and wife Carol of Manassas, VA; son-in-law: Bob Wilfert; daughters and son-in-law: Patti Prescott and husband Bob of Evans, GA, the late Karen R. Wilfert; sisters: Audrey Silverio of East Brady, PA, Donna Lee Tascarella of Petrolia, PA, Carolyn Conklin of Jacksonville, FL; brothers: Robert Bump of Butler, PA, Dennis Bump of Arizona; grandchildren: Erin Valentine, Aimee Cote, Nicole Blanchard, Chris Wilfert, Eric Wilfert, Max Murphy, Jr, Jessica Prescott, Maggie Prescott, Michelle Murphy, Michael Murphy, Jr; 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Liberty United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Hyder officiating. Pallbearers will be Bob Wilfert, Chris Wilfert, Eric Wilfert, Bob Prescott, Mitch Drake, Andre Cote, and Charles Bugg.

Internment will be at Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society 2607 Commons Blvd, Augusta, GA 30909.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Liberty United Methodist Church.
