Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, April 25, 2011 at Doctors Hospital, Mr. Wade Thomas Horton Sr., 78, husband of Anita M. Horton.
Mr. Horton was born in St. Paul, MN and grew up in Atlanta. He was commissioned in the U.S. Navy where he piloted AT-6 Texans. Mr. Horton was a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and member of the SAE fraternity. After graduation he went to work with his father at A.B. Dick Co. in Atlanta and later opened his own distributorship in Augusta. Most recently he was the proprietor of the Print Locker. Mr. Horton loved his family and his dog Spooney.
Family members in addition to his wife include his sons: Wade Thomas Horton II, Scott Daniel Horton, Todd Matthew Horton; daughters: Adrienne Horton Hudson and husband Wesley, Lisa Horton Miklós and husband Joseph. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Floyd Horton.
A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 12:15 P.M. at The Church of the Most Holy Trinity with Fr. Michael Lubinsky celebrant. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
