Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, December 10, 2015, Mr. Wallace “Wally” Gene McElroy, Jr., age 55. Wally was born in Germany but lived in Augusta for most of his life. He was an avid outdoorsman that could out play any two legged golfer. He was a stranger to no one, and was always willing to help anyone in need.
Family members include; “ the love of his life”: Kelleen Wells; his mother: Inge E. McElroy; son: Wallace Daniel McElroy; daughters: Christina Lee McElroy and Kaysee Maria McElroy; step-children: Jeremy Wells and Jennifer Ardilio; grandchildren: Zach Drew Ford, Tyler Simpson, Kirsten Simpson, Zoey McElroy, Paris McElroy, Wallace Kaydon McElroy, Donna McElroy, Madison Nicole Wells, Aiden Robert Wells, and Landon Berry. He is preceded in death by his father, Wallace Gene McElroy, Sr.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Rich Bowen officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
