Walter Ainsworth

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Friday, May 24, 2024, Mr. Walter Louis Ainsworth, 67, loving husband of Pat Ainsworth. 

Walter was a native of Beaumont, TX. He was an avid Atlanta Braves, Dallas Cowboys, and Georgia Bulldogs fan. He was a talented musician and guitar player, and enjoyed golfing. He was a jack of all trades with incredible intellect, gentle spirit, and was patient and kind. He lived his life for his family and enjoyed taking his grandchildren to the movies. Walter was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and was affectionately known as “Papa”.

Words he lived by were “Always Count Your Blessings” and “No Shoes, No Problem”. Walter will be missed by all who knew him.  

Family members, in addition to his wife, include his daughters: Angela Douglas (Chris) and Melissa Brantley (Scott); grandchildren: Brianna, Autumn, and Myles Douglas, Ellie Grace, Beau, and Lily Brantley; father: Walter E. Ainsworth; sisters: Elizabeth Tomas (Kenny) and Paula Ainsworth; brother: Benjamin Ainsworth; and canine companions: Bear, Apple, and Deisel. He is preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Ainsworth, and brother, Matthew Ainsworth. 

 Memorial contributions may be made to an Animal Rescue Group of your choice.
