Walter E. Elliott, Jr.

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, Mr. Walter Earl Elliott, Jr., 88.

Walter was born in Birmingham, AL, he served in and retired from the U.S. Navy and retired from Medical College of GA School of Dentistry. He was a devoted member of Providence Baptist Church and was an active member of Seedline Ministry. Walter’s family and church were the most important in his life.

Family members include his stepchildren: Robert Hamilton (Leigh) and Richard Hamilton; grandchildren: Billy Elliott (Cate), Victoria Hamilton, Ryan Hamilton, Meagan Hamilton, and Kristin Hollingshed and seven great grandchildren. Walter was preceded in death by his loving wife Dorothy P. Elliott and his granddaughter Ashleigh Hamilton Mitchell.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Providence Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Don Prosser officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to Providence Baptist Church Building Fund, 3850 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, GA 30909.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. at Providence Baptist Church.
