Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, September 15, 2010, Richard Wayne Jennings, husband of 50 years to Marcia Sparks Jennings.

Mr. Jennings was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta, Georgia. He was a graduate of the Academy of Richmond County, Georgia Tech, and he received his Masters Degree at Augusta College. He was an active member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and Cashiers United Methodist Church. He attended the Mitchell Sunday School Class, was the past chairman of the Administrative Board of Trustees, Finance Committee, and the Mission Committee. Mr. Jennings was the past president of Augusta College Alumni Association, and he was a Paul Harris Fellow with Augusta West Rotary Club. He was an active member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and Grand Treasurer of The Order of St. John.

Family members include: daughter: Laura Kay Houser (Mark) of McKinney, TX, son: Randall Wayne Jennings, MD, of Fort Atkinson, WI, grandchildren: Matthew Houser, Michael Houser, Mallory Houser, Jason Jennings, and Sylvia Jennings, sister: Marjorie J. Weathers (Cliff) of Hayesville, NC.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 17, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with Rev. John Pinson and Rev. Grady Wigley officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
