Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, April 3, 2016, Mr. Wayne E. Minton, Sr., 74, loving husband to Nan Minton.
Wayne was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta and was of the Baptist faith. Wayne loved being outdoors, camping with family and friends from all over the world. He was a founding member of the Augusta Boating Club. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and loved NASCAR. Wayne loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Family members, in addition to his wife, include his daughters: Donna M. Tadlock and husband Bill, Tina M. Inglett and husband Mark; son: Wayne E. Minton, Jr. and wife Melissa; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. John Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Austin Tadlock, Ethan Redlund, Aaron DeLoach, Robert “Buddy” Dozier, James “Red” Todd, and Bobby Howland. Honorary pallbearers will be the Lakewood Camping Group.
