W.E. Eubanks

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Friday, June 7, 2024, Mr. William Ezra Eubanks, 89, husband of the late Martha McMahon Eubanks.

W.E., as he was known, was a lifelong native of Augusta, Georgia. He worked at Busby’s Heating & Air for 67 years, the metal shop was named in his honor. For most of his life, he was involved with the VFW on Gun Club Road and called bingo for several years. W.E. looked forward to his annual fishing trip with friends to Florida. A mentor to many, W.E. was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Family members include his sons: Daniel “Danny” L. Eubanks and Robert “Robbie” Eubanks; grandchildren: Ashley Eubanks Doherty and husband Kevin, Chris Eubanks and wife Crystal, Ryan Eubanks and wife Lindsey, and Robin Eubanks; great grandchildren: Sydnee Eubanks, Noah Eubanks, Sierra Wills, Shayla Wills, Kaiden Wills and Jake Dixon and his older sister: Dorothy “Dot” Daniels. In addition to his wife Martha, he was preceded in death by his son William E. “Billy” Eubanks; parents: Eulie Tillman Eubanks and Minnie Herron Eubanks and six siblings.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. Don Prosser officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Daniel Eubanks, Robert Eubanks, Kevin Doherty, Chris Eubanks, Ryan Eubanks and Tracy Durand.
