Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Friday, September 3, 2010, Mr. Willard Ray Harral, 79, husband of Brenda Harral.
Mr. Harral was a native of Shamrock TX and resided in Martinez, GA. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church. Mr. Harral served in the U.S. Army and retired as a Lt. Col. after 23 years of service. He worked in communications for Civil Service for 20 years. Mr. Harral worked for H&R Block for 14 years as a tax preparer. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle. Mr. Harral was also a published author.
Family members in addition to his wife include, daughters: Cathy Pratt (Randy) of Augusta, Lisa Phipps of Leesville, SC, son: Mike Harral (Terry) of San Antonio, TX, grandchildren: Heather, Kristen, Matthew, Marissa, Cody and Dillan, three great grandchildren; brother: Paul Harral (Harriet); brother in law: Jerry Willoughby (Bonnie); and nephews: Joseph and Randall Willoughby.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 5, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Providence Baptist Church with Pastor Donald Prosser officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2607 Commons Blvd. Augusta, GA 30909.
