Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, December 22, 2011, Mr. William A. “Bull” Beckum, 88, husband of 47 years of the late Mrs. Betty Jenkins.
Mr. Beckum was a member of Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church and
the Augusta Elks Lodge #205 BPOE. He was a past member of the Augusta Country Club and an avid golfer. Mr. Beckum was the owner of Beckum Jewelers for over 30 years. He served in WW II in the South Pacific and North Africa.
He was a graduate of Richmond Academy and attended Presbyterian College.
Family members include son: W. Michael Beckum (Michelle) of Athens, GA; daughter: Margie McElreath (Robert) of Augusta, GA; grandchildren: Marjorie, Allison, Robert and William,
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Greg Hatfield officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church at 1330 Monte Sano Avenue, Augusta, GA 30904
