William Beverly Hite

Augusta, Georgia - Mr. William Hite, 83, of Augusta, entered into rest on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at home.

Mr. Hite, born in Pelion, South Carolina, was the son of the late William Hoyt Hite and Beatrice Garvin Hite, and was the widower of Patricia S. Hite of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He graduated from Richmond Academy in 1954 and was a graduate of Georgia Tech Institute, where he was a member of the Chi Phi fraternity.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald B. Hite and sister, Sue H. Bird. He is survived by his first wife: Mary Jolly Hite and their children: Beverly Hite, Debbie Gaylor (Joe), Pam Hite and Bryan Hite; four grandchildren: Matthew Gaylor (Ashley), Brittany Gaylor, Nikki Wolbert and Taylor Youngblood (Bud). He cherished his three great-granddaughters, Natalie, Brooke, and Bexley.

Graveside memorial service will be Friday, December 11, 2020, at 11:00 am at Westover Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at his daughter’s home at 202 Old Church Court, Augusta GA after the service.
