William “Bill” Reed

Evans, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, October 31, 2103, Mr. William “Bill” H. Reed, 61, loving husband to Cindy Reed.

Mr. Reed was a class of 1970 graduate from Choctawhatchee High School in Ft. Walton Beach, FL and was a 1979 graduate of the University of West Florida. He was nationally ranked as a competitive water skier, a competitive sailor, and a certified pilot. Mr. Reed rode with the Outspoken Cycling Group and was a software engineer for Savannah River Nuclear Solutions. He lived his life to the fullest and he loved all of his family, friends, and coworkers. He was an inspiration to the interests and pursuits of others and never took himself too seriously.

Family members in addition to his wife include a son: James P. Reed of Augusta; daughters: Caitlin E. Reed, Allison K. Reed, both of Augusta; sister: Jenny Berge (David); and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Monday, November 4, 2013 at 6:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. Honorary pallbearers will be the Outspoken Cycling Group and his sailing family.

In honor of Matt Burke, a fellow cyclist, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Anna's Education Fund, please make checks payable to "LPL" or "Anna Burke" and send to Crest Financial Strategies at 345 Frazier Avenue, Suite 203, Chattanooga, TN 37405.
