William “Bill” Thompson
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, May 27, 2014, William Kay Thompson, 64, husband of Maria Tess Thompson.
Mr. Thompson was a native of Bend, OR but lived in Augusta for the past 17 years. He was a member of New Hope Worship Center where he was an active volunteer for the Bridge Ministry of New Hope. Mr. Thompson earned a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Oregon and was the owner and operator of The Camera Repairman.
Family members in addition to his wife include sons: Joel Otto Thompson and Dean Joseph Thompson; father: Kay Thompson and mother: the late Corrine Thompson; brothers: Scott Thompson (Jeanne) and Tracy Thompson (Susie); and loving niece and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 5:00 P.M. at New Hope Worship Center with Pastor Richard Bowen officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 4:00 P.M at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bridge Ministry at New Hope Worship Center, 715 S Old Belair Rd, Grovetown, GA 30813.
