Atlanta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, April 21, 2014, William "Bill" Vaughn, 70, husband of 48 years to Vicky Linsalata Vaughn.
Family members in addition to his wife include son James William Vaughn of San Diego, CA; daughter: Becky Vaughn Carter and husband Tracy; grandsons: Carter Smith, Chase Carter and Seth Carter; brother: Jacob Ley and wife Betty; cousin: Don Lastocy and other members of the Linsalata family.
Mr. Vaughn worked for Bridgestone Firestone for 42 years and served in the United States Army for two years. He loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Bill had a love of cars, traveling, sports, landscaping, hummingbirds and all of Gods creations.
A memorial service will be Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Brian Davis officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church at 1305 Troupe Street, Augusta, GA 30904 or to Emory University Hospice Unit at 1364 Clifton Road, Unit 5G, Atlanta, GA 30322.
