William Henry Mulherin
Augusta, GA – William Henry Mulherin, 76, entered into rest Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at Georgia War Veterans nursing home after a long illness.
Born in Augusta, GA in 1937, the son of Anthony T. and Alice C. Mulherin, he graduated from Boys Catholic High School in 1955, and then served in the United States Navy. After his discharge he attended Augusta College and graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.S. degree in Chemistry in 1962.
Henry spent most of his career in the construction business in the Atlanta area. After retiring in 2000, he returned to his hometown of Augusta and lived out his life there.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter: Catherine Moore (John) of Duluth, GA; grandchildren: Robert McClellan and Allison Kelly; three great grandchildren; siblings: Anthony T. Mulherin, Jr., Mildred M. Franklin and Mae M. Carpenter; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held, Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel at Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. John Johnson officiating.
Mr. Mulherin’s family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the compassionate, caring staff of the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home, second floor.
