William Oxner

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, William Robert Oxner, 88, loving husband of the late Mozelle Neal Oxner.

William was a native of Augusta, GA, where he was a lifetime member of Curtis Baptist Church. Before retiring, he worked as a signal instructor at Fort Gordon. He was a gentle Christian man who enjoyed working in the yard and spending time with his family. He was very loved by his family. 

Family members include his daughters: Kimberly Oxner McDowell (Charles George) and Michelle Chastain (Hubert); grandchildren: Cameron McDowell and Dallas Farr (Justin); great-grandchild: Forrest Farr. He is preceded in death by his sister: Ann Bolton.

The funeral service will be held Monday, June 3, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors with Rev. Tom Lowry officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
